About Lisa

Lisa is a 5th-generation chicken keeper and Maine Master Gardener. She’s the founder of Fresh Eggs Daily (www.fresheggsdaily.com), the popular natural chicken keeping site, and author of several books including Fresh Eggs Daily: Raising Happy, Healthy Chickens Naturally, Gardening with Chickens and a new children’s book titled Let’s Hatch Chicks!  From her small farm in Maine where she raises a mixed flock of chickens and ducks, she inspires readers with her all natural, easy, fun and accessible approach to  integrating gardening and backyard chickens for a more productive flock and more bountiful harvest. She has appeared on the Hallmark Home and Family Show, NPR and P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home and has been featured in various publications including Country Living magazine, HGTV.com, American Farmhouse Style and the Wall Street Journal.
